Inspired by pre-Columbian civilizations from South America, the audiovisual work “Sikus” proposes to make a cellist dialogue with a procession of imaginary instruments broadcasted through a circle of loudspeakers surrounding the musician. Three symbolic “suns” light up this scene which is the subject of dancing shots: the camera movements are modeled on the inflections of the music and give life to this creation orchestrated by the composer Thierry Pécou.
