Among all the short musical films that we shot for Lucas Debargue's Fauré collection, the one for Nocturne 12 stands out for the post-modernist drama that we wanted to infuse into it. In this work, bouts of bubbling insidiously follow episodes of comforting sweetness. A large screen reveals images strangely synchronized with the music heard. The musician's action on the keys seems to instantly produce cataclysms in the world, the large screen almost taking the form of a surveillance camera allowing his work to be monitored. The connection between the music heard and the projected images reinforces the "demiurge" side of the performer; it is almost like a literal interpretation, making this music as performative and current as possible.
