At the crossroads of urban dance and baroque music, halfway between the aestheticism of cinema and the dynamism of live performance, the short film "Folia" draws the outlines of a new video format. More immersive , more attentive to light, this format aims to combine the highest artistic standards with a constant concern for promoting cultural heritage.
The dancers of the Käfig company, under the direction of Mourad Merzouki, re-explore two scenes from their show Folia in the stately setting of the Jean Lurçat Museum and Contemporary Tapestry in Angers. The musicians of the Concert de l'Hostel Dieu, under the leadership of Franck-Emmanuel Comte, were assigned the task of putting this moment to music.
