True to their shared desire to exhume a forgotten repertoire, sometimes condemned to silence by the horrors of the Shoah, Dimitri Malignan and Elizaveta Agrafenina offer us here two chillingly truthful interpretations of the composers Feinberg and Weinberg, without seeking to sugarcoat the terrifying context that surrounded the creation of the works in question.
We built several nocturnal tableaux for them, in which the moonlight juggles with some lighting with a quirky aesthetic, bringing a gloomy atmosphere to the whole. A work of acting and staging with the singer Elizaveta also allowed us to release for the image all the scenic potential contained in these rediscovered scores.
