Camille Pépin trusted us to put one of her most sensory pieces into images. Iridescence-Glace is inspired by luminous phenomena observable in clouds at high altitudes. The work tells the story of the birth of this spectacular phenomenon and its disappearance. We wanted to tell this phenomenon by transposing it in the most literal way possible in the setting where we were filming this work. Mixing multiple reflections (on giant mirrors) and a play of diffraction (through multiple prisms placed in front of the camera lens), light invents surprising and colorful paths in this musical film bordering on synesthesia.
